Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
I like this image a lot. I would love for her face to register some added emotion (just enough) to match the intensity of drawing a pistol - but - perfection is for angels.
Sigh… Oh how I love to stalk talent.
It’s rather dope, yes? Called Checkpoint.
Artist: Marek Okon / Somewhere in the Universe.
Hmmm. Dare we conjure a frightfully interesting story for this? Let’s!
Artist: Phuoc Quan Dinh / Vietnam (I heart this artist.)
I love this concept and I love Lewis Carroll. New mission for 2013 has nothing to do with my hips or thighs getting thinner. Well, okay, maybe but specifically it has to do with my mind. THINK AND BELIEVE IN SIX IMPOSSIBLE THINGS BEFORE BREAKFAST. Key word: IMPOSSIBLE. The word alone is intimidating but true creativity, innovation and disruption only happens when you CONJURE the impossible.
I shan’t be intimated by it. I am embracing the hell out of it!
I never claimed to be “SANE”. I find the word quite revolting. Really. It connotes normality. It suggests “fitting in”. Sanity is safe and we all know nothing is gained being safe. So very boring. That’s exactly what I don’t want. Sanity is overrated and I stand by that concept. I want the epiphany! I want the creative channel! I want the failure! I want the opportunity to pick myself up, dust it off and try it again because it means I am on the verge of stepping into something powerful and that my friend is never a smooth road… nor is it safe.
So we are clear: WE’RE ALL MAD HERE.
And glad of it.
Me in zombie form… Really! He used a picture.
I found him online and stalked him until he agreed to work with me on a couple of projects. Seriously. I will post more of his work soon. I heart this guy in 360 ways. Totally PG rated.
Artist: Jason Chan / San Fran, CA @ Massive Black
My mystery man artist is in full effect. Sigh…
Artist: Arcipello / Somewhere in the “Universe”
I’m kind of at a loss for words. Rare, I know. It’s called “Holding Back the Flood”. I’ll say. I could use that kind of help every now and then…
Artist: Arcipello / I have no idea what country he is in BUT I have got two eyes and one heart on him. Too corny?
Man… this is haunting. Called “Two Prostitutes”. I love it and I love this artist. Word.
Artist: Fung Chin Pang / Hong Kong.
This one is beautifully… “peculiar”. The title is “What Am I?”
Artist: BGX1 / Hungary. I heart his peculiar-ness.
This work is positively divine.
Quote from the sculptor: “Focusing on tensions and liberations in my work, I feel most of our emotions are locked into an existential cocoon.”
I’ll say.
Artist: Paige Bradley / Carmel, CA (my first female crush. totally G rated)
First, this is a painting. Second, it’s insane. Third, WTF!
I shall return with imagination in full effect to figure this one out. Either way, I heart this guy… Word.
Artist: Jeremy Geddes / Melbourne, AU
I am oddly intrigued yet clearly disturbed by this artist and the contents of his imagination, dare I say… Reminds me subtly of the book (later turned into a fairly good movie) called PERFUME with another twisted mastermind who used the essence of a woman in order to create some form of “art”. Where does the madness end?
Artist: Johannes Vob / Germany (I adore him albeit from a distance)
And again… the detail here is insane. I am starting this artist’s fan club.
*Resistance is futile.
Artist: Chao Yuan Xu / China
I don’t really know what to say. We should reflect on this rare moment.
Artist: Chao Yuan Xu / China
So, I currently need to scream from the rafters, IT’S ABOUT DAMN TIME! Aveline is my new she-ro and not because she is a kick ass black female assassin in the handheld Assassin’s Creed new release for later this year. BUT, because she is a kick-ass black female assassin… period. Thanks Ubisoft. What took you so long?
Do I need a reason to heart him? Really…?
Artist: Salvador Ramirez aka ReevolveR / Guadalajara, Mexico
